You can check listings on, most units have a serial # listed, you should be able to figure out which listing you are looking at is b.s. Around 03 model I think, be sure its not a grey market machine otherwise you may have trouble selling it when you are finished with it! Ours is a deere 200 CLC and has hitachi written on alot of the parts and has a big metal nameplate on the turntable. Deere buys them from Hitachi paints them yellow and puts there name on them. Is there a place on the web that lists the serial number break down by year. They're supposed to be the same make, model, etc but the cabs and body design are different. I'm looking at a couple different Hitachi excavators that are both listed as the same year model.
